Trip Report | Guided Tour with NCMG

Through Norrøna's partnership with the North Cascades Mountain Guides, the Summit Sales Team had the chance to bring 2 of our dealers out to ski for two days in Mazama over the weekend. We had Jandy and Lisa from Rocky Mountain Outfitter alongside Kevin and Colby from the Mountain Supply crew. Everyone enjoyed getting to know each other better and there was even a fair amount of cross-shop talk between Jandy and Kevin, retail owner to retail owner, catering to similar customers. 

The guide team at North Cascades Mountain Guides provided us with great snow when they could and a great alternative when they couldn't. We were able to successfully make one good day of skiing and we all felt like we "got away" with the better-than-expected conditions.

On day two, Larry and Dave suggested we pivot to a different activity because of how sticky and unsettled the loose snow would be, so they geared us up to climb on a warm sunny day at Mazama's Fun Rock (this had the dual benefit of giving Mountain Supply a little more time to hit the road a little earlier to get back to Bend). The whole guide staff was kitted out in Norrøna and their support for the brand is immense. Dave even mentioned he finds himself wearing Norrøna, not just on NCMG but also when he guides on the heli-guiding side. This was a huge nod in our favor!
